Biography
Kevin Kennedy is a 1999 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Kennedy joined Steele Sturm in 2006 as the firm's first associate. Presently, Mr. Kennedy assists firm clients on trade secret and non-compete matters, as well as other employment and business litigation including FLSA claims and contractual disputes. He has a wealth of trial experience including serving as defense counsel in ten jury trials and seven bench trials.
Mr. Kennedy has also served as counsel in numerous temporary injunction hearings. He has filed many briefs with Texas State Appellate Courts as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Kennedy also has other litigation experience in a variety of areas, including toxic tort, general negligence, and medical malpractice. Mr. Kennedy began his legal career working in the Law Enforcement Defense Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office. While serving as an Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Kennedy regularly defended the state of Texas in civil rights and employment litigation. Mr. Kennedy is also formerly associated with The Kleburg Law Firm and Munisteri Sprott, Rigby, Newsom & Robbins.
